Translation:
listen, mother
listen, mother
to my misery
to my misery
because we’re cursed

Oh, we’re cursed!

Oh, Djurdjevdan (6th of may, saint George’s day, important gipsy holiday) is here mother
it’s early in the morning
but, for me, mother,
It has come as a curse

Oh, we’re cursed!

my poor husband
God has taken away
and my poor children
he’s left in poverty
Oh, he’s left in peverty
oh, happy God!

Nocas mi srce pati

Standard

Song by Ljiljana Buttler and Mostar Sevdah Reunion

Nocas mi srce pati

Sta ce mi zivot
bez tebe dragi
kad drugu ljubav
ne zelim da imam

Sanjam te, sanjam
skoro svake noci
samo si ti u srcu mom

Ref. 2x
Nocas mi srce pati
nocas me dusa boli
tesko je kad se voli
kad ostanes sam

Jesen je tuzna
vec odavno dosla
uzalud cekam
uzalud se nadam

O, majko moja
koliko ga volim
samo je on u srcu mom

Ref. 2x

Ciganine sviraj, sviraj
Ciganine, ti sto sviras
zasto moju dusu diras
da li znas za teske boli
sto mi tuga srca mori
da li znas za moje boli
sad moj dragi drugu voli

Ref.
Nekad sam bila ja
srecna i voljena
dok druga zena
nije moju ljubav uzela

Druga ga miluje
on za njom luduje
a moje srce usamljeno
za njim boluje

Nekada smo sretni bili
nasu ljubav nismo krili
mislila sam, dani srece
da nikada proci nece

Ref.

Ciganine, sviraj, sviraj
pesmom moju dusu diraj
nek’ mi tvoja pesma kaze
kad’ me ljubi sto me laze

Ring, ring (Translation)
Ring, ring
music is playing
music is playing, mother
the girls are dancing

Gypsies come and see
the gipsy dance
Father, oh father
mother, oh mother

They’re dancing beautifully
They’re singing beautifully
They’re drinking rakija
And they’re playing beautifully

And I sing, mother
I sing to my children
I sing to my children, mother
To my most beautiful children
